Purpose-driven design and logevity
The Frost plunge pool was conceived as a tool for intensive thermal immersion following a sauna session, as well as for the practice of cold-water therapy. The plunge pool has been purposefully configured for open-air placement, ranging from a tranquil garden or terrace to a spot proximal to a sauna, or even as a standalone focal point for a dedicated relaxation zone. Its construction is underpinned by impregnated spruce timber, a material known for its superior resilience against moisture, fluctuating temperatures, and UV radiation. Consequently, the tub remains fully operational year-round, irrespective of meteorological conditions—whether in frigid winters or scorching summers.
The wooden structure is fortified with robust steel bands that stabilize the vessel and preclude deformations resulting from water pressure and the natural expansion and contraction of the wood. The tub’s interior deliberately omits any supplementary insulating layers or heating mechanisms, as its fundamental purpose is to maintain a low water temperature. A thermo-insulated eco-leather lid serves a dual protective function, safeguarding the water from organic contaminants like leaves or insects, while also mitigating solar heat gain.
Ergonomic and seamless functionality
This compact tub has been meticulously engineered for both user-friendliness and rapid immersion. A constrained diameter and a moderate depth facilitate seamless entry, eliminating the need for a steep descent. The accompanying wooden steps, crafted from impregnated timber, ensure stability and surefootedness, even under challenging winter conditions. A strategically placed internal drain valve allows for the swift drainage of the vessel and a simple garden hose connection. This feature streamlines maintenance and ensures effortless upkeep with regular outdoor use.
Style, practicality and health benefits
Its minimalist, Scandinavian-inspired design harmonizes beautifully with the natural milieu and garden architecture. The practice of cold-plunging is known to promote microcirculation, aid muscular recovery, and bolster the immune system irrespective of the season. Furthermore, it is available in a selection of colourways, offering the flexibility to complement the existing spa aesthetic.
